Nero: reconstruction of a black legend
An exhibition that takes place in the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine, the places where Nero exercised his power.
The entrance ticket costs 12 euros and allows you to visit the Colosseum, the Palatine, the Roman Forum.
The exhibition aims to re-evaluate the figure of the last Emperor of the Julio Claudian Dynasty, which was accused by a black legend of the terrible fire that destroyed Rome in 64 AD
The exhibition is divided into five sections:
Curia Julia: the portraits / family / the black legend: Nero in the tradition of painting
Temple of Romulus: Nero in the film tradition
Cryptoporticus Nero: the luxury of the imperial palace and the political propaganda
Palatine Museum: the luxury of the imperial palace
Colosseum: the fire that destroyed Rome
